How does CleanUp find duplicate photos?
CleanUp uses advanced on-device algorithms powered by Apple's Vision framework to analyze your photos and identify duplicates, similar images, screenshots, and more. All processing happens locally on your device for maximum privacy.
Are my photos uploaded to any server?
No! Your photos never leave your device. All scanning and analysis is performed locally. The only exception is if you choose to enable Google Drive backup for deleted photos, which uploads directly to your personal Google Drive.
Can I recover deleted photos?
Photos deleted through CleanUp are moved to your iPhone's "Recently Deleted" album, where they remain for 30 days before being permanently removed. You can also enable Google Drive backup to save copies before deletion.
How do I cancel my subscription?
To cancel your CleanUp subscription, go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone, select CleanUp, and tap "Cancel Subscription."
How do I delete my data?
Open CleanUp → Go to the More section → Tap Delete My Data. This removes all analytics and support chat history associated with your device.

Troubleshooting
CleanUp can't access my photos
Go to Settings > CleanUp > Photos and make sure "Full Access" is selected. CleanUp needs full photo library access to scan for duplicates.
The app is running slowly
Large photo libraries may take longer to scan initially. Try closing other apps and ensuring your device has enough free storage. The first scan builds an index that speeds up future scans.
