CleanUp – Privacy Policy

CleanUp ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

CLEANUP PRIVACY POLICY

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information to provide and improve the app:

  • Usage Data: Anonymous analytics about app usage patterns to help us improve the app (via Firebase Analytics). This data is completely anonymous and cannot identify you personally.
  • Support Communications: If you contact us through the in-app chat (powered by Crisp), we collect your messages and any information you choose to share.
Important: We do NOT collect personal information like your name, email address, or phone number unless you voluntarily provide it when contacting support.

2. Photo Library Access

CleanUp requires access to your photo library to provide its core functionality:

  • Read Access: To scan and analyze your photos for duplicates, similar images, screenshots, and other categories.
  • Write Access: To delete photos you choose to remove.
Your Photos Stay on Your Device: All photo processing and analysis (using Apple's Vision framework) happens entirely on your device. We never upload, transmit, or access your photos on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the app's functionality
  • Improve and optimize user experience
  • Respond to your support requests
  • Fix bugs and technical issues

4. Cloud Backup (Optional)

CleanUp offers an optional Google Drive backup feature for your deleted photos:

  • This feature requires you to sign in to your Google account.
  • Photos are uploaded directly from your device to your personal Google Drive.
  • We do not have access to your Google Drive or backed-up photos.
  • You can disconnect Google Drive at any time from the app settings.

5. Data Retention

  • Analytics Data: Retained by Firebase for up to 14 months.
  • Support Chat History: Retained by Crisp according to their data retention policy.
  • Google Drive Backups: Stored in your personal Google Drive until you delete them.

How to Delete Your Data

To delete all your data associated with CleanUp:

  • Open CleanUp app → Go to More section → Tap Delete My Data
  • This will remove all analytics data and support chat history associated with your device.
  • For Google Drive backups, you can delete them directly from your Google Drive.

CleanUp is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

You have the right to:

  • Request deletion of your data (via the "Delete My Data" feature in the app)
  • Opt out of analytics (disable analytics in device settings)
  • Revoke photo library access at any time (via iOS Settings)
  • Disconnect Google Drive integration

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
